When it comes to Vacation Adventures the PRIORITY is you ticket to fun! You can plan your own custom Priority Adventure or fly by the seat of your pants. Some of the most popular adventures include:
One of the more popular Priority Adventures is the Fort Jefferson destination. Many guests choose to arrive aboard the Priority at its home in Islamorada, then fish their way to Key West. Key West is a great port of call. It is the southernmost of the Florida Keys. Famous for it’s unique lifestyle and culture. You may shop or dine on famous Duval Street. Then enjoy the famous daily Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square and the Key West nite life of fun and dancing. Some guests choose to stay aboard the Priority and have Captain A.J. prepare cocktails and sushi or appetizers and dinner.
Fort Jefferson is located about 70 miles west of Key West. The Dry Tortugas are a cluster of seven islands, composed of coral reefs and sand, known for its famous bird and marine life, its legends of pirates and sunken gold and its military past. Because of its strategic location in the Florida Straits the United States Military made plans for a massive fortress and began construction in 1846. Fort Jefferson was never completed because the invention of the rifled cannon made it obsolete.
In 1935, President Franklin Roosevelt set aside Fort Jefferson and the surrounding waters as a National Monument.
Fort Jefferson has been a popular destination for many of my guests because of the historical designation, the pristine coral reefs and abundant sea life. While at Fort Jefferson we will anchor the Priority overnight. The guests may visit the Fort aboard the 14′ Novurania with 50hp Yamaha engine. While on shore you may go on a guided tour of the Fort, take a swim on the beautiful sandy beach, or snorkel the beautiful coral reefs and you could also take a mini cruise to nearby Loggerhead Island where you can enjoy a stroll on the sandy beach, watch the sunset, enjoy a bottle of wine,….
During the day you may wish to fish the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico or snorkel the wrecks full of sea life and then return back to the Fort.
You may catch snappers, grouper, sailfish, tarpon or many of the plentiful fish of the Atlantic. You may see sharks, barracuda and goliath groupers and much more.
In preparation for your Priority Adventure your crew will shop and stock your provisions. Your crew will prepare and serve your meals. Your Captain is famous for his sunset sushi. He will clean and prepare your fresh fish sushi style in the cockpit with all the condiments and cocktails. Then the “catch of the day” for dinner.
Throughout your adventure your crew will be professional, experienced and courteous to you and your guests and follow your lead with regards to privacy or socializing.
We look forward to your visit aboard the Priority and your Priority Adventure.
